Nice double standard there...prison populations are counted to benefit the clout of more rural places *except* during a pandemic.

I find the headline "Antibody Tests Point To Lower Death Rate For The Coronavirus Than First Thought", weird. An infection fatality rate of 0.5-1.0% isn't that around what they have said for some time? It is actually higher than the most optimistic rough guess that were made in the start of the pandemic. The only place I have seen higher numbers are on social media. (Then we have demographic different that give different numbers for different regions. And the question if everyone exposed are found in those antibody tests?)

Antibody tests have up to a 50% inaccuracy rate according to (I think) the CDC, so ymmv no matter what.

Personally I'd not even look at antibody tests right now as a way to tabulate case count, deaths or even as an adjunct to any current(ly also no-doubt under-counted) figures.

Kind of a relief as locally we have antibody tests now, but without insurance they're $200 through the only private healthcare service providing them. I was sorely tempted to save up to get at least one of us tested until I read about the inaccuracy rate.
