Can one offer a single congratulation?
Actually, this is a nice question. Think of the princess and the pea. Originally (well, not originally, but close enough) the word was pease (yes, like in pease porridge hot). This was a collective noun, like rice or water. You can't talk about one rice, but you can talk about a grain of rice. Back then, there was no one pea, only multitudes of pease. Hm. I wonder if one day people will backform ri from rice? *babbles on and on like this*
*yawns*
Sorry so tired. Should go sleepy. And it's early! *whines*
Night!
