Going to prison is not unlike going to another country; it is its own culture. You definitely want at least a crash course on the terminology, norms, and etiquette before finding yourself there.
And not just for the people going to prison, but for their friends and family who will be interacting with the prison system, too.

Date: 2020-01-05 08:24 pm (UTC)I do ‘em occasionally with the packaging I do pretty much daily sending/receiving inter-library loan books, but I’ve done some weird ones myself.
My worst was a couple of Decembers ago, I think it was ’17, I required two stitches using a very sharp knife to cut gum off my shoes.
The part that sucked was that I’ve had so many operations on my right hand/thumb - six - that I have so much nerve damage that anesthetic is ineffective. THAT was fun.
