So it looks like we're getting a Steven Universe epilog

Which is great, but it's only six episodes, which is somewhat less great. Those episodes are so short!

And I read that it's going to focus on Steven finally running out of other people's problems to solve and having to deal with his own issues, which is really great, I'm actually super excited about that - but with only six episodes that means there is no way they're going to spend even one second on any of the burning questions I want answered. (Well, except "So what does Steven really think of his mom now that he knows she was a complex individual and not a saint?" They'll probably answer that one instead of sort of half-assing it.)

Six episodes is good.

Six episodes to focus on Steven and his issues? Is not nearly enough. But since they fast-forwarded through the process of building good relationships with the Diamonds, they're probably going to handwave some of the harder ones.

Judging from the movie I would not say he has a good relationship with the Diamonds. I'd say he tolerates them for the sake of galactic peace, and that the entire experience has taught him an important lesson about setting boundaries.
