You know how on sitcoms and cartoons people get addicted to harmless substances for an episode and then it's never revisited? Yeah, that's me and Sudoku, and that's where I've been all week.

I bring my iPad with us most of the time when we go out for dinner and we play Sudoku together, because otherwise she'll bring out her phone and read fanfic through the meal. It's a defensive measure from being ignored. I wasn't working outside the house when I started it, so I didn't have enough outside social interaction and things to talk about to keep conversation going, short of diving into politics, which I don't want to do anyway. It's also an interesting conversation gambit with others, because people think we're playing Sudoku but can't figure out how people are playing it together!
