Buoyed by the success of book_icons

I think I'd like to recreate the now defunct (and never very active) comm for comic icons. I'm everlastingly seeing people posting sinfest icons (and others) in other icon comms, there's a calling for it... and running communities seems to be very simple. Plus, it gives me a feeling of power. Yes, I'm quite diabolical like that.

But I thought I'd check and see what other people think. IS there a need?

Icon communities are hot. I know of about three communities JUST for Sailormoon graphics and icons, and at least twice as many for Harry Potter icons. So if there aren't any other comic icons communities, there's definately a need.

YES. I would post there a lot. A large number of the icons I use now are from comics. I always want to make comic icons & am never sure where to put them. You so totally should do this.

I need to ask if you mean just webcomics or if you would include print comics too (manga, graphic novels, newspaper comics, etc)?

Otherwise, I think that would be a fantastic community idea, since I already have a bunch of friends who make icons from webcomic panels, and I'm prone to scanning in manga and making icons out of them.

I'd be pretty open. Webcomics, manga, print comics, sunday comics, comic books, comic book movies, graphic novels. Heck, even animation if nobody else minds. Just consolidate all that in one group. I think I'll make it now.
