A baby in a friend's extended family is in the midst of the expressive jargon phase. Total mastery that conversations and stories have rhythms and pauses, just not quite up to the language that the grown-ups can understand.

“Knock, knock.”
“Who’s there?”
“Do you want me to wash your house?”
“No, thank you.”
“Okay.”


I love this joke. An hilariously unexpected question, in a very polite exchange.
