I just made a batch of pancakes, twelve in all, and they all came out perfectly. Plus, I had just the right amount of batter, too!

The trick on getting the first one to come out right is to make sure the frying pan is all the way hot. Maybe it was on the stove longer than usual while you were running around.

My problem with the first one is usually burned bottom, runny top, so while that would have been my first guess I'm not sure it's the case this time.

Ah, the pan's *too* hot, then. I sometimes have trouble remembering what number I always set the burner on.
