and getting the very decided feeling that the author has a definite type. It was the same in the last one, and it's very... specific. Oh, well. The progression of the romance may be predictable, but the rest of it is fine.

Hahaha! I have definitely read more than one book where it's clear that the author not only has a type but is also writing about their spouse. It can be pretty cute, unless you happen to read all their books in one go.

This is an emotional type, not a physical one, and gosh I hope they're not writing about any real person they know.

Like maybe both books started out as two different fan fiction takes on the same source material, so the characters are kinda the same even if the names and settings aren't? Because I have definitely read that multiple times too.

I'm just going through loaned books in order of lending, and there's rather more than I expected.

I'm not sure what the context is here but last night I was watching a movie in which all three of the main actresses looked exactly alike. It was kind of creepy.

I bet. Or watching Fox News, whenever they have a female anchor - how humiliating for them knowing it wasn't their credentials that got them hired :(

I think there is something called writer fatigue some writers style becomes so predictable I want to scream. A slight variation of plot but the same premise sigh

What's interesting is that other than that one big character trait that apparently the writer loves, the two characters aren't very much alike and the two romances aren't either. And the plots aren't!

I do like this writer and these books, so I'm not going to complain too much :)

I friended someone who researches the deep earth bacteria, and the first time I heard about it (maybe 6 months ago) I was totally amazed no-one talks about this. Age-old bacteria! Inside stones!
