Clean dogs are great dogs! But was this a habitual dog-washing day, or was it an emergency anti-skunk-stank with tomato juice?

Ours, well, our poodles, definitely need baths. It doesn't help that our white poodle, Dante, has bad aim and occasionally pees on his front paws.

Rupert, our blue tick hound, doesn't really need baths since he sheds. When the poodles get skunked, they smell for AGES. When Rupert the hound got skunked, he got a bath and he smelled for a very short period of time.

Our doggies sometimes pee on each other, but never on themselves. I thought Finn had bad aim, but not as bad as yours, I guess!

Dogs and bath times is never fun but it is rewarding when they have that nice smell. Nico's belly is looking a bit off gray and I do not want to bath him tomorrow. He doesn't try escape like Doug; he just cries the whole time and breaks my heart.

No lie, if Moonpie were as bad as that I'd cough up the $60 at the groomer in a heartbeat. Which would probably be even meaner, because she hates those people.

I got the littlest one brushed out last weekend and the biggest one clipped down the weekend before, so this weekend, I should try to brush out the middle-sized one, and then next weekend they might all get bathed. :)

Having relatives in Texas I've been to H-E-B and there are a couple of positive things about it that weren't mentioned in the article:
A. they have a HUMONGOUS stock of products
B. the service there is super friendly and efficient

also, I would LOVE to see a revival of that Black kids' magazine!

The Brownie Book is even today quite well regarded, though I think Cricket is a valid successor.
