On PF, just a short while ago, a user who posted content not prohibited by the ToS, correctly marked NSFW, tagged for content, and under a cut was banned without contact or warning for a violation of an, at that point, imaginary policy. It's so weird to me, because I keep forgetting most humans who use Twitter and Tumblr access it via their phones, as opposed to their web browser on a laptop, which is what I do. The policy change sucks though.

I'm also in this weird push-pull of wanting to support people who want to write/post/draw "adult" content but I still don't want to personally see it basically ever? Because I get intense anxiety when confronted with unexpected nakedness? Anyone else in that weird place?

Yes, very similar feelings here. There are probably very specific instances of adult nakedness stuff that I would seek out, but I'd rather stay away from it in general.

I only want to see rudey fanarts of characters I already care about a lot; I think I must be fannishly/fictionally demisexual.

I'm in approximately that area too, i'm in the mood for it once in a while, but i don't need it on my dash unexpectedly. Which i never had on tumblr, thanks to the tagging and blocking system. (I also excluded tons of non sherlock content that way) so landing on someone who did everything right, used tags, warnings and a cut, destroys trust.

I can't for the life of me work out where pillowfort is based, but I take a bit of issue with "Are we supposed to not reflect life in our art?" because it's pretty disingenuous to me - try that with photographs of 16 year olds, who do of course have consenting sex, and see how far you get. And like those aforementioned photographs, it's illegal for me to view that content here.
