I hate everything right now. I'm so glad I live in a blue state and I get an absentee ballot. I never want to live in a red state.

I live in a blue county in a red state! Which is weird! And I do the absentee ballot thing, too...in fact, I just posted about that tonight.

...ugh. This is why I've been checking my own voter registration on a daily basis (in a different red state).

Also, for anyone who wants to check their voter information regardless of state, I did a linkspam for thisfinecrew with the most official online voter information by state that I could find. Specifically, Texas' voter registration page is https://www.votetexas.gov/register-to-vote/index.html

I vote in the bigger elections in Texas for the sole reason of being able to bitch about things. (I'm a democrat in a definitely republican area).

This is one of the things I like about Oregon's vote-by-mail setup. If my ballot doesn't arrive when everybody else's does, I'll still have more than a week to go down to the county elections office and get things straightened out.

Mine was one of the ones that got lost. x.x I'm still registered in Texas because I haven't moved my driver's license over to NM yet (yes I'm hella slow; my parents' house is still my legal address right now) Too late to fix it; I'm furious x.x
