Tired. Gonna kill 'dul in the morning. Metaphorically, of course :)

And a random linky, about how public pools are sickening.

That's what I've been telling Lizziey. Go with the beach. THERE, you can get killed by SHARKS.

That is disgusting. No wonder swimming in the pool at the YMCA here is like swimming in bleach.

We don't have a beach here, aside from the reservoir, but that's rather cold, even in the summer. We have lots of ponds, and rivers, and lakes, oh my!

I prefer the pond where we swim, but that probably isn't much better.

The one I swam in as a kid, well...the last time I was there, they pulled a woman's body out of it. *sigh*

Now I want to go to the beach, darn you! I have no way of getting there.

1. I don't go in the kiddie pool. (All the pools around here have separate pools for kids under such-and-such age.)

2. Keep your damned mouth shut while you're swimming and if you do get some in your mouth, don't swallow the water.

I've never had any problems in swimming pools, and I grew up in them - used to be on a swim team.

Of course, most of that time was in the 80's, when apparently people were a lot smarter.

The only beach around here is the Great Salt Lake, which is gross (no sharks though). Brine flies everywhere, and you get all covered in salt. I've only ever gone wading there and that was just once.

So I guess I won't swim at all. :P

You can't swim ANYwhere here without health risks. The lake is full of E.Coli, the pools all full of god knows what. It's disgusting.

actually connie, they do not let diaper clad, nor non covered babies in lyons pool, over here. they have to be potty trained, or wearing "little swimmers". thank you. now no more comments. beaches are worse.

i'll one day look up the article about the woman who is now awaiting her aids test because she got stuck with a herion needle at either midland or south beach. i don't remember which.
