Sorry it's been a while
Aug. 23rd, 2017 08:35 pmI've just had a lot to do.
Wednesday I dragged Eva and her best friend, and also the two boys I babysit, to the Bronx Zoo. Because it's free Wednesdays. It's also packed Wednesdays, for some reason. Never could figure that out... :P (This week, it looked almost like there was no line! Then we saw that the line had been redirected to the other wall of the entrance. Boo.)
The kids had a reasonable amount of fun, they rode the camels, we ate Dippin' Dots (first time for 75% of the children!), and then we went to the playground. And then we came home, and I got to rest my feet for a minute before walking the dogs.
It's a very good zoo, but too much walking. Also: Not enough bathrooms or water fountains. I don't know what they were thinking when they designed that place, but they urgently need to renovate and add more of both... and put some of the water fountains in the anterooms to the bathrooms so you can get a drink even when it's cold out.

I love spending time with her, but I feel like for every hour I spend in her company, I need another hour to recuperate! She talks.
It's good to be able to clear up these open tabs and read what they actually say.

Of course, the thinking person strives to overcome this.
