Our local airport is pretty small and so if you want to fly anywhere you have to go through Denver, Houston, or Phoenix via Bombardier CRJ small jets. Which have an operational limit of 118°F, so all midday flights to/from Phoenix were canceled, which was probably about half the flights!

It is indeed hot here, but that thing conflates Phoenix (where all those examples are) with all of Arizona. When it's only hitting 116 is one of those times to be glad you're in Tucson instead.

If you told me that houses in AZ were mandated by law to include air conditioners, I would believe it looking at this (cue the Fox News spin about how so many poor people can afford A/Cs). If this does happen, then they also need to do something about their stodginess over solar panels. So much energy locally used to ease the grid load AND it reduces that heat island to some degree.

Why is Spicer even trying? I'm surprised he isn't hiding under a rock like Conway and only popping his head out whenever convenient.
