When I read that ICE was arresting parents picking up their children from school, I thought that was shameful. When I read about ICE arresting people at the hospital - either patients themselves, or parents of patients, I thought that was shameful. When I read the article about ICE arresting legal residents at a restaurant after first buying breakfast, I thought that was shameful. I thought, whatever your feelings on immigration, that all these things were contrary to simple decency - and you can believe my expectations were already low considering the conditions at detention centers.

But this? This isn't shameful. It's disgusting. What an absolute breach of basic morals.

They arrested someone coming to his asylum interview. I think that's the worst for me. They're not even giving people a chance to jump through the hoops they ask for themselves. It's a nightmare.

Call Senators and Congresscritters and tell them to defund ICE so that ICE can only concentrate on the (few) actually-dangerous illegals, because they don't have the funds for more? Though they'd probably focus even more on the low-hanging fruit of non-dangerous illegals then. (*spit*) So defund them entirely and let local police worry about who to kick out.

This is why I'm afraid of leaving the country. Their freedom of pulling crap like this just makes me know that crossing back into the States is going to be messy. Michelle already had issues with ICE since her last name is so generic and she had to travel so much that she comes off as suspicious as a result.
