A women's movement grows in 'the most Trumpian place in America' (Note the road sign in the picture: Coal Miners' Memorial Roadway. Every time I hear inane bleating about how we need to bring back coal, I'm gonna point them to that picture. So many miners have died working for low pay in that shitty job that they get their own memorial road named after them, just like soldiers and AIDS victims.)

The story of Dallas feels like history repeating itself... in Iowa. It's kind of sad that that legacy had to end, actually.
I guess I shouldn't be too surprised with Japan having that raccoon problem; any country that thinks it's okay to have pet owls despite being such a developed country just amazes me.
Oh, on the subject of climate change: did you hear about the proposed atmospheric CO2 extractor? Doing it on the cheap makes sense, moreso than the proposed water pump power storage they're thinking of making out of old coal mines.

This year we went round and round for 6 months about a girl and are ending the year with nothing but the promise that they will look at her situation when she starts high school next year. Yeah, right.
