I've seen people, more than one, whom I don't know, who don't know anybody whom I know use the word gigglesnort.

This, technically, proves nothing. It might mean that I didn't coin the word, or that many people have coined it at different times. I, however, like to believe that it means I've made a tangible difference in the English language.

Yes, one day, I'll be in the dictionary. Kindasorta. Is that cool or what?

So, on to the next word. I rather like umbracula, of course, but I've already mentioned that here, and I rarely have a chance to use it, as I dislike umbrellas in general. Gimme suggestions. Please.

....I was unaware you used gigglesnort, and I've been using it for 2+ years. Sorry dear. Us RPers have the jump on internet slang. :D

Umbracula's interesting but it doesn't really have a nice ring to it.

I completely randomly started "waycool" in HS; moved several states away, and ran into one or two folks who also used it. Then, suddenly, it was everywhere. Sitcoms, SNL, you name it.

Then it wasn't cool anymore...

Strange. Either way, I never knew you used it.

You've been inducted into a fold you never knew existed! Crazy when that happens no?

There is a word that you English speaking people sorely need, I don't know how you get by without it... Wee have this word "nenna" and the meaning is akin to "I don't feel like it" only you can feel like doing something, only you don't have the energy to do it. Exempli gratia: to go to sleep, it's not that one does not feel like going to sleep when one is sitting at the computer, but the mental effort to get up and get moving, it's just not there, so even though one is tired to the bone, and would love to be in bed, it's just too much of a hassle to get there. Therefor I suggest the phrase/word: "I don't nenn it!"

words! yay!

Well, I call Scissors Skizzixs. (SKIZ-Icks).

I also call margerine (the butter substitute) Spackle.

The last one I do is Asdffl. (As-daff-il) It's an exclamation of extreme surprise, with no good/bad connotations.

Umbracula is genius.

Eheh. I learned "gigglesnort" from my cousin. He owns a Boston Terrier and needed a word for the noises the dog makes.
