Date: 2017-04-28 02:10 am (UTC)The bizarre thing, if you think about it, is the fact that the majority of people in the urbanized West know so shockingly little about any kind of animal. Many have never seen a sheep, or a cow, or a pig - some have never even seen a chicken or a rabbit! Reminds me of 'Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?' - a vast population almost entirely cut off from contact with the natural world from whence their food comes.
Anyone who's actually raised sheep knows very well that they're intelligent, social and emotional. Ewes are very much inclined to be princesses, in fact. They're not as relentlessly trouble-making as goats, but they're probably about as smart.
