conulyThis ep was pretty straightforward, not much to discuss except I miss having a portable computer. Completely couldn't do the reddit livethread. :(
1. It takes major chutzpah to openly taunt a serial killer like that.
2. Daddy Blaine is barely thawed, and he's already outthinking Don E. If Don E were just a little smarter, I'm sure he'd realize that, but that's the whole point.
3. Okay, so I know and you know that procedural memory and episodic memory aren't the same thing, and it's plausible that Blaine could play the organ and sing along even if he has amnesia. But do the writers know that?
4. Saying this now, I don't think Viv arranged to have that family murdered. No, not even to get Clive on their side. If Viv was going to murder three people, why murder her employees and their kid? Why not murder the three who might blow their cover to the feds? Surely it'd be easier to get her mercs to do that than to murder their highly trained buddy(s) and their kid! And if they killed Clive they'd at least get a brain out of the deal. Plus, I think she really does care about her little zombie commune, especially the kids.
4a. And boy, there are a lot of kids. Surely some of them haven't been turned but just have zombie parents! And do they, um, age?
5. Okay, Major is going to work for Fillmore Graves. But wouldn't his particular skillset be better utilized as, I don't know, a counselor for those children than another mook? They've got to have some specialized counseling needs, and he's at least somewhat qualified for that job, plus he'll enjoy it more.
