It's great that NYC schools are trying to protect their students from ICE. I've heard of several schools working on similar policies, and I was especially impressed by one of the local ones because they aim to protect parents as well as students. A lot of children are citizens, but their parents are undocumented...if ICE is searching school records, families can be afraid to have anything to do with the school
