Bah, humbug

conulyAs you may have noticed, I've been on a bit of an enforced internet hiatus. I managed to repair the hinges correctly (yay) but somehow in the process, the screen stopped working. I don't know why, it's hooked up properly. At least I managed to fix the totally screwed up audio jack at the same time - turns out those things are open at the back, so I just used my screwdriver to push out the broken-off piece while I was fiddling around with the innards of the computer.
I kept meaning to set up this spare screen, but somehow I never got around to it all week! But it's working just fine. You know, I may take off the hinges and screen entirely and use this computer as a desktop rather than a laptop. I just have to move our old computer parts off the desk. Why do we have three of them? Sheesh.
