I heard the same story on the news last night, and I thought that the headline on this article was slightly misleading, as both it and the news program last night suggested that it was a mature dog rather than a "puppy".
This seems to be one of the stories that aren't very important, but are put on because the networks need material, and because they're memorable for being so unique(as opposed to day after day of Iraqi violence or celebrity trial complications).
