A U.N. inquiry has found that at least 44 Palestinians were killed and at least 227 injured by direct mortar strikes and other "Israeli actions" while sheltering at U.N. locations during last year's Gaza war. Sorry to hear you're having headaches - do ice packs help at all? I freeze wet tea-towels inside zip-lock bags, and put one in a flannel pillowcase to use - cold travels faster up the nerves than pain does; they're especially nice on the back of the neck.

I have heard that inducing an 'ice cream headache' by drinking a Slushie or something too fast will often short-circuit a migraine, but I don't personally know anyone who's tried it.

The headaches are generally either shortlived (like in the realm of 30 seconds, but I'm standing there going "ow ow ow" the whole time - literally, that sort of headache comes so fast I really do say ow like I stubbed my toe), or long-lasting but more of an annoyance than a pain. In the first I don't have time to grab ice (or frozen corn, more like) before it settles down, and in the second I feel silly doing it.
