More linguistic myths.

It's times like this when I really wish I had gotten around to correcting my ignorance of an actual signed language, all I have are notes and glosses, no words, no grammar.

*sighs*

And, fuck, I'm about to fail my paper. Quick, does anybody know anything about the Iliad?

Heh, that poster's use of "perfect" is, well, scary. :)

I'm just sitting here boggling over "Spanish is spoken in broken up words, for example, 'me, you, go store' that is how it would be translated in English had it been spoken in Spanish...." O_O Um, what? That doesn't even begin to make sense. Going by what she said, it isn't just Spanish that is "spoken in broken up words." Unless I'm horribly confused with what she means.

Regarding your paper, will these Iliad notes from SparkNotes (http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/iliad/) help? ^_^;;;

Its about the Trojan War, and the rainbow goddess makes an appearance in it. That's about all I know.

Umm, I read part of the Iliad, but I always like the Odyssey better. Did you read much of it?

I read the Iliad and the Odyssey for Latin O'Level - way back in 1976-1980. Loved it. Can't remember much about it. It was in Latin and we had to translate as we went along. I bought the books later in English and they're around somewhere. I love Greek Mythology.
