NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Today was our *one day off* from appointments. No doctor, no dentist, no orthodontist or optometrist. Nothing!

Yesterday, Ana had a mild headache all day. Last night, she was itchy. This morning, she woke up with a sore throat. Headache + itchy + sore throat = strep test, and I have to go to the doctor. I was just freaking at the doctor!

Erm. So you're obviously a very busy person and have lots of niece-related responsibilities. But do you have time to meet up with two travellers from forn parts? We're trying to cram an awful lot in, but maybe we could meet for an hour or two? We thought perhaps the Transit Museum.

We're around 3rd-6th Oct (well, we have the morning of the 7th too). The only thing that's set in stone is the Big Onion food tour at 1pm on Sun 5th. That said, we will start booking various other tours and in soon.

We set off tomorrow (I know, I've left this really late - this whole holiday's been booked very last minute thanks to our little house-buying adventure) but we'll still have internet access on holiday (I hope!) But if we can arrange it before we leave home then it will be on the official printed itinerary. (I... like having things on paper.)

What do you think?

I'd need to run it past Guido about meeting the girls *grin* And I would very much bow to your judgement on whether or not it's a good idea!

It was the main Transit Museum we were thinking of. (We quite often go to transport museums - though funnily enough, I've never been to London's - partly because it's stupidly expensive.)

The other place we are considering visiting which I imagine would suit the girls is the Hall of Science.

(I really need to get to bed because I'm up in 5 hours. I think I'm reasonably confident of the election result - I hate going to bed not knowing what shape the country will be in when I wake up, and this time that would be quite a literal statement! But I will check for replies in the later morning.)

Assuming we did meet, is there any British thing you've always wanted to try that I would legally/safely be able to bring in my luggage? (I don't have an enormous amount of time tomorrow, but I am going to lunch for a friend's birthday and need to quickly nip into town to buy a US-compatible phone, so I might be able to grab something if it's commonplace.)
