Okay, about all the now-lost comic syndications.

Since we're unlikely to get them back, and I don't know anybody who knows how to make a feed, what if we made a community? We could each of us take a comic and just post when that comic updated.

I would very much like that, although I'd still much rather have a nice set of feeds back. I can understand the bandwidth theft aspect, but...I wish there were a way to get them free WITHOUT bandwidth theft or visiting obnoxious websites. *feh*

Any ideas on how to actually go about it?

I think we're going to have to visit the websites. Fortunately, we can pick and choose which ones to visit... we may find some less obnoxious ones. Once we've done that, and we've each taken a comic or two (or however many it is depending on who's around), we make sure to check it daily and post the link once it's uploaded. That saves ME the trouble of remembering the 110+ comics I read out of boredom.

Or, some nice person with a bit of space can upload the comics and delete them weekly.

You and I keep posting on the same Support Requests at the same time, but yours get posted before mine do. Sorry...I'm not trying to overstep your boundaries or anything, I guess my connection is just a bit slow. :p

*laughs* It's good. I've had problems where I'm the one who JUST MISSED OUT, always to the same person. I know, it gets annoying. I'm just glad to hear I'm not the only one :)

Haha. Well, I'm new at this, I just started it last night, and I don't have any points yet. I'm not bold enough to answer anything but the easy questions.

One thing I keep messing up on, is linking them to a journal, like "howto." How do you do that?

1. Neither am I. If it's not in the FAQ, I don't touch it. And yet, I'd have way more than 26 support points if they'd stop closing without giving credit (grrr...) God bless people who don't read the frequently asked questions, and yes, they ARE.

2. I just c+p the URL of the journal. I don't know how much you know (you seem intelligent, but that doesn't necessarily indicate knowledge) so please forgive me if I give too much information.

I go to the page I want to link to, usually in a separate window. I double-click on the text in the address bar. I hit ctrl+c on my keyboard. I go back to the support request (or wherever) and hit ctrl+v in the entry box. Voila! Oh, and I don't mess around with HTML because it doesn't work. URLs automatically become links, but that's it.

I probably said a lot of stuff you already know, and I'm sorry.

Oh, ok...it's ok. I was trying to use the LJ specific tags.

We did it again on the Crossposting question...I'm just going to leave that one alone. Your answer was way better than mine, anyway. I wish there were a way to prevent that. I'm sure there's some LJ Support etiquette that I just don't know anything about yet.

I don't know as much as most, but more than some, or at least I like to think so :)

Probably. I find my answers are often not approved, simply because they are missing information. So I read the approved answers, read the support communities, and just sit. I think it was two months before I got that first support point. I honestly have no idea how I earned it.
