Anyway, he finally had to move his trailer, and he left some of the cats behind, who mewed piteously at all hours of the night.

They finally calmed down, and started camping out on various porches, including mine. Most of them are half feral, but one, a pretty black and white one, is actually very friendly. She hasn't been fixed, I'm sure, but I'm putting that as my goal.

Trouble is, I can't have a fourth cat. Even if my cats would allow it, my family wouldn't. And you can't do a major operation on an animal without having a place to put them, an INSIDE place, for a week to ten days.

She's a real sweetie, and not terribly aggressive towards other cats in her space. I'm positive she'd fit well in just about any family. Anybody know anyone in the area who might want a cat? (I need to take a picture. I'll be sure to do that within the day.)

Aw, I hope you find someone for her!

I'd take her, except I'm a) in a different country and b) very allergic...

Oh, poor abandoned kitties, how terribly sad. Sending you (well, Jenn, technically) a check for cat food; watch for it in the mail.

Edit: LOL, you'll definitely notice it; I got a bit carried away with the Easter Seals. ;~D

Awell, food goes fast when one's also feeding strays. As for flea meds, I totally recommend food-grade diatomaceous earth (http://www.fleacontrolbook.com/naturalfleacontrol/diatomaceous-earth-the-a-miracle-cure-for-flea-control/), which is both far cheaper and safer (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/05/06/1207291/-Dear-Cat-Lovers-Tell-Me-About-Diatomaceous-Earth) than insecticides as well as more effective (http://eartheasy.com/live_natural_flea_control.html) (since fleas, like lice and roaches, are evolving resistance to poison.)

When you get pictures (take several), put her in the http://www.petfinder.org and http://www.rescueme.org databases. Those are some of the biggest ones and will reach people looking for cats to adopt in your area. Good Luck!
