If you're foolish enough to stumble into the comments, don't complain to me. (My GOD are those ever the most racist comments I have seen in a while, though!)

Most fascinating! The main thing I note is how sparsely the Olympic Peninsula is actually populated. The little clusters of brown dots are Reservation land; otherwise we seem to be mostly blue, but with an even scattering of red, some brown, and a little orange. Interesting how many Asians are in Seattle, especially around University of Washington.

Aha, that is a point - the Koreans, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipinos and Indonesians here have more problems each other than they have with non-Asians. The Makah and Quileut were traditional enemies until the Europeans showed up to consider all of them 'Injuns', and their inter-tribal solidarity only stretches so far, even today. Most of our Hispanic people are Mexican, and most of our black people are from the urban Midwest, so there doesn't seem to be a lot of conflict within those categories.

My parents' hometown, Bennington NE, is so tiny I can't find it - that whole area of Nebraska is just tiny clusters of blue surrounded by a lot of empty white. My mother never saw a non-white person till she went away to college in exotic Omaha.
