Oh god no.

You ever wonder if you should be rooting for a military coup or a killer asteroid? Yeah. Except the far right has been making a concerted push into the US military for the past few decades, so I guess it'll have to be the asteroid. But hey, it isn't all bad - sky-blackening clouds of dust should put the brakes on the current climate crisis!

(I really need to stop looking at the news, except that there's stuff in there I want to see! Also, not knowing about the specifics isn't as helpful as I think it ought to be.)

I'm just going to make a blanket post and suggest that maybe there's a killer asteroid

and we haven't seen it yet, so it could be anywhere. It could be hiding under your bed right now, waiting for its moment to pounce!
