Finn’s appointment is in an hour

I know it’s time but I hate it.

In more cheerful news, the sunflowers are going to bloom soon

We can see little bits of yellow! I had to trim the tree over the volunteer, and I think that's gonna get taller yet.

The wildflowers are blooming, but it's weird. I mixed all the mixes together, and somehow all the cosmos ended up over there and all the bachelor's buttons ended up over here. I don't know how that happened.

I'm still planting new patches of wildflowers, and also replanting so many freaking daffodil bulbs. I got a few enormous patches up. It'll be a while before they become huge masses again. It's almost a pity, they're very pretty in the spring, but no. There has got to be some balance.

Sebastian actually approached me to get out of the house through the back door today rather than turning around and going the other way. He didn't look too excited about it, but he didn't dash by while hissing either, so that's progress.

Well, I'm not happy, but I do feel good about our decision

especially our choice of service. They came to the house, very convenient and a lot less stressful for Finn. We gave him so many Dunkin Donuts egg bites before the vet arrived, and snuck his antianxiety medication into one as well as giving him his painkiller this morning. (I wish we'd known how excited he'd get over those egg bites earlier, we would've fed them to him so much over this past month!) It was very peaceful. I miss him the way he used to be, but that was never coming back.

Also, my food processor arrived today and when I opened the door to let in the vet I saw the food processor, forgot what else was going on today, and gave an extremely happy squee. The vet took this in stride, but so embarrassing.
