Things I've been listening to lately:
Dec. 23rd, 2023 02:49 am1. Falling Star Radio - weirdly cheerful dystopia. Talking lemons. Maybe aliens, I don't even know.
2. All the Wrong Magic - not so cheerful! Enjoying it, but had to take a break for a new genre for a while.
3. Electromancy - magic boarding school, child soldiers.
4. Sidequesting - it is amazing how much story you can spin out of avoiding the main plot!
5. City of Ghosts - people will never stop complaining about Robert Moses. That's now what this one is about, but it's in there.
6. Mockery Manor - in between wondering whether or not they'll reach the present day, I also wonder if they realize that "that's you all caught up" is not a typical Americanism or if I'm the one missing the joke here. The moral of this last season is that Brits probably shouldn't do American-themed theme parks.
7. Oblivity - another weirdly cheerful dystopia, this time IN SPAAAAAAACE. Less chance of aliens, more chance of space.
8. Fawx and Stallion - if you're going to do an LGBT Holmes parody, may as well lean into it. Sherlock lives down the block.
9. Murder in HR - the title is apt.
10. Nightingale - pediatric cancer hospital, portal fantasy. If this were a book I'd say it's a well-written middle grade book, so let's go with that. Well written middle grade audiodrama.
