Went to the doctor with the kids for a follow-up

Saw there was nobody in the waiting room, said "Wow, maybe we can just be in and out this time!" and the receptionist dashed my hopes. "You know that never happens!"

She's right, it doesn't, and it didn't today. Still, it didn't take as long as it sometimes does, and I was able to schedule our next appointment on Brooklyn Day*, so yay.

* They don't call it that anymore, but that's what it is, and the kids won't miss school.
