In regards to yesterday's post on the same topic, the entry at [syndicated profile] oed_word_of_the_day_feed is morigerous, which I will never ever have a chance to use in casual conversation, but I'm glad to know it already.

By contrast, [syndicated profile] merriamwebster_feed gives us penultimate and [syndicated profile] wordsmithdaily_feed has humdinger, so I think that a fair and unbiased comparison of the three will clearly show that the OED's feed is the obvious winner. Nothing against penultimate or humdinger, but I can use those in conversation even with small children and didn't need them defined for me today.

You'd think "Connie" wouldn't be so hard, but if I go to a fast food place and they ask my name, it comes out Coney, every time. (Not that I like giving my name in the first place. What was so bad about numbers?) I've taken to saying "Supergirl", because at least people can spell it.

Yesterday I went, and after I was sitting down I glanced at the screen and saw that the young woman behind me, with the toddler, was Agnieszka. I'm not sure how she managed to get the correct spelling, but good job.

Absolutely delicious. Very spicy. The correct way to eat this hot sauce is to carefully put a few drops on a plate of food. The way I eat it is to glug out entirely too much due to clumsiness, then gobble my food as fast as I can before it hits my sinuses. Yum!

Anyway, inspired by the hot sauce, I went investigating this "black garlic". A black garlic fermenter is not in the stars right now, but I did obtain a jar of black garlic cloves, and they are EVEN MORE DELICIOUS but less likely to burn my tongue!

I have already learned that they do not like being put through the garlic press. Anybody have any good recipes for them?

IS THE CURSE OVER!?

Edit: It appears so!

Edit again: I have now crossposted all the earlier entries that didn't crosspost originally. I simply went to "edit entry", checked the box, and updated. They do appear at LJ.
