My monitor has utterly died

Luckily, this house is a positive graveyard of old but functioning components, so I swapped out my ancient monitor for a decrepit one, but at this point I have to either buy a new monitor or bite the bullet and get a new laptop. I hate getting a new machine, it's a hassle switching everything over, but that's where we're at.

If you're in the NYC area and have an old but functioning monitor you'd rather pass to me than try to take to a electronics recycling event, let me know. Not too old.
