Chili!

1/3 lb ground beef (from CSA), so about $1
2/3 c dried beans (also from CSA), about 50¢
1 onion, 40¢
Several cloves of garlic, pre-peeled, lets say 30¢
Chili powder, 15¢
Molasses, about 25¢ worth
Cocoa powder, about 50¢
Leftover bits of celery, 75¢
1/2 green pepper, 30¢
1/2 red pepper, 60¢

Made: 4 dinner servings (my mother ate at work), 1 lunch serving

Cost: just about $4. I have got to start measuring stuff instead of pinching it out of the jar, then I can know how much I actually spend! (You should see my pantry, guys. I'll take a pic if I can get some decent light! Jars of beans, jars of rice, jars of spices. We don't eat things that come in jars all that often, so it's taken a long time to accumulate that many!)

Breakfast today: homemade scotch eggs! Like on neopets! 5 eggs and 12 oz of sausage meat.
