I think I posted about this a few years ago, too. All I know is that I want snow in the winter where it belongs, and melting in March, and crocuses in April.

Our crocuses are over and done, they were blooming a month ago. We have really got to get going on the garden, it's time to till again.

We're trying a diversity of squash this year, crookneck, zucchini, pink banana (don't laugh, I didn't name it), delicata, butternut, and a free packet I got from Seed Savers of some kind of pumpkin.

Crocuses in April are late, though. Even with the frosty March we've had, some crocuses are still in full flower and most are already done. April is for daffodils ;)

On the plus side, the fact that it's April on Monday and we don't have a single daffodil out yet... might mean there are still tulips around for my June wedding. And that would be amazing, because not being able to have my favourite flower at my wedding was making me unhappy.

Fingers crossed for a silver lining from this bizarre weather!
