A REALLY big eater. Ana eats like a bird in that she picks at her food and doesn't eat that much. Eva eats like a bird in that she eats twice her weight every day. At least.

And do you know, we have no idea where she puts it?

So for breakfast the other day I had made her three jumbo eggs, hard-boiled, and also a banana. There was an orange in reserve. Eva ate the first egg and exclaimed "HOW did THAT happen!?!" so I checked it out and - hey, a double yolker! Good luck, even though Evangeline doesn't like the yolks. I told her to save it and I'd give it to the cats later.

Then she ate her second egg. "Oh, wow, Connie!" Another double yolker! I told her how amazed I was, and said if she put the yolks aside I'd feed all four of them to the cats.

Then she ate her third egg. "CONNIE!" At this point I was sick of it all and said I didn't care how many yolks it was, I'd feed them to the cats.

But wait - there's more! Today I made two eggs for club sandwiches for lunch. Two eggs, four yolks! I'm beginning to suspect the whole carton might be lucky like that :)

Speaking of what cats eat, we have a stinkbug infestation in NYC, and because half our windows lack screens (no two windows in this house are the same size, not one of them is standard, so we keep forgetting to get new ones measured) that means our house often has them this time of year. They're no big deal, so long as you don't step on them or, as the boy-cat learned yesterday, eat them.

The face he made - I should've grabbed a camera! I would've warned him if I'd thought he'd listen.
