And two outrages
Jul. 26th, 2010 08:50 amFirst, on an infant removed from her blind parents because, uh, her parents are blind. She's been returned, but... seriously? Apparently the mother had some trouble breastfeeding at first, didn't realize her daughter's nostrils were covered by the breast, switched sides before any lasting harm was done, and was reported by a nurse. And some people where I got this from are going "What would you want the nurse to do, not report it and let the baby diiiiiie?" and what I say is what I would want the nurse to do is do her job and, I don't know, help instead of standing around taking notes!
And, in Texas, a judge has frozen spouse's benefits for the wife and family of a firefighter, why? Because she's transgender, of course. Out of a morbid curiosity, I checked out the comments. Yeah... don't do that.
Oh, and in case you didn't realize it, the criminal justice system is seriously flawed. That's not such an outrage, though. Something has to be shocking to outrage people. Otherwise it's just depressing
