Human Rubberband, anyone?

Note: The warning says this is NOT TO BE USED AS A SLINGSHOT. That hadn't even occurred to me.
Note: Apparently, the Brits have it right. Rubber is so called because one uses it to make those things that rub out mistakes. But I still prefer our term "eraser" for those.

That's the holiday where you celebrate by going out and getting stinking drunk, right? While making lots of noise? And dressing up in costumes?
Man. Jewish holidays have got to be the best.
(Although Holi is, what, tomorrow? Throw colored powder and water at each other. That might just be better than Purim... okay, fine, I just think everybody has cooler holidays than I do. You all have that greener grass, and I want it!)
Oh, and all of you in the midst of Lent, good luck with that. You have my support, though I'm sure you're managing. That covers almost everybody, now, right?

She'll start to misbehave now, stop herself, and then run to tell me that HER CONSCIENCE told her to be good. I kinda wish she wouldn't, because it's getting annoying, but I encourage her.
The other day, I mentioned that I wanted her to behave because I didn't want her conscience to punish her later, and she looked at me in shock and went "WHAT? What could HE do?"
So I had to explain that although I can give her a time-out, her conscience can make her cry, and give her bad dreams, and make her stomach hurt. We always, I said, want to stay on the good side of our conscience. (Because your conscience is bound to be a manipulative bastard, and passive-aggressive as well, but I didn't say that part.)
We're working on it. Her understanding of what her conscience is and does is still very much a work in progress.
