I know who it is that I intend to vote for. I've made up my mind on that point, and I'm sure the cunning among you can figure it out.

If the news coverage was about the issues, I'd be interested. Heck, if all it concerned itself with was what the candidates consider to be the issues - and not what they cynically think the rest of us consider to be the issues - I'd be content.

But I'm so sick with "This will help so-and-so's campaign" and "This will hurt so-and-so's campaign" and "We have no idea how this will affect the election" and his wife did this and that person has a sucky family life and the other guy secretly eats babies...!

Just stop already. It's all so much fluff, and I am embarrassed to think that anybody would make up their mind on rumors and accusations and nonsense that has nothing to do with the issues at hand, however you define them.

If this candidate or that one says or does something that indicates that they're actually very well-suited (or not at all) for the office, go ahead and tell me. But until then, please, everybody, just SHUT UP for a change.

Honestly!

Her friend Meghan is going to the same school she is! It's a new school, I had no clue.

Not the same class, but that's all right. I'll talk to her mom this weekend about visiting more often. (Pity I actually don't like the girl's parents *that* much, but they're nice enough people.)

Of course, just try getting Ana to tell you anything about school, and she flat-out refuses. Sweet little brat, really.
