Yesterday evening we went to the pool, and there was a family there with a 10-year-old girl. My mother always says that the best thing for anybody with young kids is a 10-year-old, and she's totally right.
This girl glommed onto Ana (and vice versa), and within minutes Ana was jumping (as opposed to merely sliding cautiously) into the pool and going under with her nose pinched and bobbing back up laughing.
It was wonderful. I could be with Evangeline (who has decided she Only Likes Connie this week), and Ana could do more than walk back and forth and occasionally shark us.
