Seriously, I have some bad associations with the fruit and never touch it. But I thought anyway that I'd post about the Rising Mango Star contest when I read about it at Slashfood, because I know people who do like the fruit. None of them are between the ages of 8 and 14, but that's beside the point.

Merriam-Webster doesn't say chalk the way I do either.

I can only imagine that this is due to the same sort of linguistic process that makes us in New York the only people to correctly pronounce words like "coffee", right?
