How much of a surprise could it have been? Tuesday at 4 I rushed Angelique past the playgrounds, telling her I was worried about rain. I mean, it was warm and muggy, it was overcast, and there was a constant wind! How much more of a sign do you need to know there's a storm coming?

Though none of the church near us which lost a spire in the wind.
Current theory is that the tornado passed *over* us but did not set down where we were, which is exceedingly lucky. We've informed my mother that if she ever watches TV all night again and there's a bar at the bottom going "tornado warning!", we'd really appreciate it if she'd wake us up so we can decide if we want to risk sleeping on the second and third floors of our house, or if we'd all rather go down to the basement, thanks very much.
