Signs of development in the niecelings...

1. We saw one of Ana's friends the other day, and I suggested we might see him Friday. Alas, it was not to be. Friday rolled around, and he wasn't at the museum.

Nobody told Ana it was Friday that day, but we often talk about how we cook on Friday, we do Spanish on Wednesday, that sort of thing - and after we cooked on Friday, and were about to leave, Ana turned to me and said "Frankie didn't come! But he said he'd be here, it's Friday!"

I didn't realize until a few hours later how big and important this is. Then it was a very delayed dropping of my jaw.

2. On the toilet front, she now sleeps diaperfree. Which is working, except occasionally. Last time she wet the bed, she told me "I dreamed my teddybear was falling in the toilet." Well, we all know what those dreams mean. I didn't know she was old enough for dreamwarnings yet, though. (But then again, she *is* almost four, a VERY scary thought in my mind!)

3. The baby (ALMOST A YEAR AND A HALF AND I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS AAAAAAAHHHHHH!) has also made leaps and bounds, especially in regards to language - saying "Birdie" instead of "ba", saying "Suu! Suuu!" to mean something other than "Behold, a shoe!" but instead "Oops, dropped mine, and I was fine until you said we were leaving you careless fiend!"

Not much, I know, but I had to post something, didn't I?
