About yesterday, IRL.

The whole week, the SICM has been overcrowded because of the school break.

I went anyway because I had Elise to tag along and help me watch both younger kids. I could not have done this without Elise. Regardless, I still was getting overwhelmed with all those people every day! (And I'm babysitting Sunday too, so Jenn can move - help me! AAAAAAAHHHHHH!)

Friday was free admission.

You can imagine how it was.

So I need some time to recover from all the too-many-people, y'know? (And the losing-of-various-things that happened this week. Almost all the lost things were recovered quickly, but it didn't help me much inside.)

That coincided with online stuff. Lemme make this clear - I just don't want to referee fights online. That's no good. But anybody can argue with me right here, right now. Except, uh, not nownow because of the preceding week, see what I said above. But other nows.

This is all my mom's fault.

I've been teaching Ana jokes lately. Why the woman threw the butter out the window, why the ghost had a band-aid, why six is afraid of seven (because of seven of nine, apparently, which is just hysterical), and "orange you glad...?" and all that.

My mom had previously told me that sooner or later, kids get the riddle structure without understanding the riddle concept, so you get jokes like "What's green and on your head? YOUR HAT! HAHAHAHAHA!" and whatnot.

Well, today Ana visited in my room (they're moving! This weekend! Yeah!) and asked me "Why is your room cold? Wait, you say 'I don't know', Connie. Why is your room cold?"

Me: (oh no, oh no!) Uh... I don't know?

Ana: Because... because... It's COLD outside! *grins and giggles*

Me: Yeah.... Hey, wait here a second?

*goes outside*

THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, MOMMY!

*goes back in*

Ana: Why is...

Me: Ana? Let's not play jokes right now, okay?

Ana: Okay.


This is NOT good. I hope she grows out of it soon.
