Gee. I wish I had known about their summer stuff, like, before today...

Well, there's always next year.

And the year after that... and the year after that. It's good to have things you do every year, isn't it? Traditions and all. And if you have a lot of things you do (like popcorn festivals), so much the better - you can drop one without upsetting your entire year, right?

Wish I'd been more on top of things here, though. Gah!

Here I am, babysitting, and listening so closely to the baby monitor for that first telltale howl from the baby - that I don't even hear Ana coming up the stairs. And waltzing straight into my mom's room with a dirty diaper because she had a bad dream.

Full points for self-sufficiency, but no points at all for helping me out - life would be easier if she'd just woken up and screamed.

Got her to sleep. Eventually. Still convinced the baby will wake up (again) and spoil it all.

Had to enlist my mom for help, so now she's napping half naked on 'dul's bed with the kid. *giggles* That'll be a nice surprise when he comes home - that and the fact that I stole the water gun he left carelessly lying about. The fool.

(Hey, I'm only getting $30 for this night, I need to amuse myself somehow, right?)
