Or, rather, I broke off part of the lid in order to make it start working again, which, ah, worked.

The spin cycle had failed because, somehow, the part of the lid that's supposed to depress the spin cycle switch (try saying that one three times fast!) was no longer long enough for the task. So I just removed the rubber thingies that keep the lid from clanging when you close it, effectively adding length to the lid switch thingy.

I'm not sure how effective this'll be in the long run, but it should keep us steady for a while.

Oh, and Jenn? I was right. 'dul's an idiot. The hose was right where it was supposed to be. In the sink.
