Here.

If your faith is so weak that you can't even read something which contradicts it.... )

So, I guess when I move, I'll have to avoid the Middle East entirely. I already knew that, though. Perhaps I should just leave the solar system altogether?

That's it.

Freezing a bunch of threads now. I'd rather not, but I don't like it when things escalate like that and I don't even get to be part of it :(

Don't curse at my friends. This goes for all of you. It just escalates the situation. Cursing, in general, doesn't bother me, but... well, judgment, 'k?
Don't make comments which imply that my friends should die, or would be better off dead.
Don't use deliberately inflammatory language, such as "murder". Murder is a crime. If it isn't a crime, it's not murder.

I love you all dearly, but if my journal itself ends up on LJ Drama, it had damn well better be because of *my* efforts, not anybody else's.

I'm in a really shitty mood lately. I think it might be PMS, combined with a lot of stupid misunderstandings, both online and off. I'm probably going to flip out several times in the next week - and this is despite my knowledge of my mood and attempts to avoid it. If you can't handle this, I perfectly understand. Just tell me now and I'll avoid talking to you in particular about anything more sensitive than, say, really cute fennec foxes. Foxen? Whatever.

Oh, and take this as a pre-emptive apology. There's no excuse for bad behaviour, but explanations are always nice.

Edit: OMG! Lyk, u totally insulted meh by corektin mah speelin uv fennec fox! UR MENE!!!!!1111

Correction duly noted, entry edited.

Old news already, but...

Article inside )

On the other hand, of course kids have a hard time with the concept - look at the very real disparity between adult's views of free speech in general, and their views on the free speech which should be accorded to children. There's some nifty statistics there.

The pure, bottomline business decision would be only to provide services for paying users, or to push ads on free users. Because, y'know, LiveJournal *isn't* a government. Weird concept, that.

I'm not saying that paying is the only way to support the site, or that the site is always run how I, personally, would like - but please, can we keep our complaints reasonable? It's not faaaaaaair that free users don't get the same benefits as paid users? Tough. It would be even less fair if people paid for the site and didn't get any sort of reward. You get what you pay for, even online.

Edit: Of course, she originally posted here. Stupid comment limits made my comment virtual nonsense from what it had been.

Edit again: And she returns
