If you're Christian, and celebrate Christmas today: Merry Christmas!

Otherwise, I hereby forbid you from being happy today. Bah! :P

Anyway, back to my usual habit of linkage, I bring you this, a very depressing comic from somebody whose name I consistently misspell. Oh, wait, it's in the URL. Ahem: [livejournal.com profile] cumaeansibyl.

Question.

So, I was stuffing the turkey. But before I could stuff it, I had to pull out the remaining ice chunks. You see, when I had set it defrosting in the fridge, I had forgotten that our fridge is hopeless. It would have had a better chance of defrosting in the attatched freezer. There was no way I was going to wait any longer to cook this damn thing, so I just decided to yank out any remaining ice.

And, apparently, and l-shaped piece of flesh that seems to have a bone attatched, but which may just be a frozen organ. What is this? It was near the neck, kinda.

Maybe slightly more, as it never defrosted properly (sure as hell hope it's defrosted now....) Question. How do I know when it's done? I know, it's got that thermometer, but what does it look like when popped up?

Mele Kalikimaka!
Kurisumasu omedeto!

If this doesn't put a smile on your face, nothing will.

Vrolijk Kerstfeest!

And nobody, I mean nobody had better burst my bubble until tomorrow, at the earliest.

Hope it's good...

Edit: Mmmmm! It wasn't good, it was delicious! It certainly wasn't dry, which I'm told is to be feared. It was all moist, and cooked through - the meat just fell off the bones (which were nice and rich and marrowy). And the stuffing, a spinach stuffing, was wonderful. Thanks for all your help, guys.
